Gerald M. Murphy is a Partner in Lubin Olson's Litigation, Finance and Workouts, Land Use and Construction Law Practice Groups.  He specializes in commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate, land use, finance, and construction.  Mr. Murphy represents property owners and developers, retail companies, shopping center developers, financial institutions, lenders and guarantors, REITs, contractors, property management companies, homeowners' associations, real estate brokerage firms, national and regional billboard companies, and title companies.

Mr. Murphy has tried nearly 100 cases in the state and federal courts, including eminent domain actions, disputes relating to real estate purchases, title, secured transactions, construction defects, billboard regulation, wrongful foreclosure/fraud, toxic torts, design professional liability, lateral support and soil compaction, mechanic’s liens, prescriptive easements, unfair competition, and First Amendment rights.  

Prior to joining Lubin Olson, Mr. Murphy was a partner at McKenna, Long & Aldridge LLP (formerly Luce Forward Hamilton & Scripps LLP), a partner at Jacobs, Spotswood, Casper & Murphy, P.C., and General Counsel of a major California retailer.
