Dennis D. Miller is a Partner in Lubin Olson's Bankruptcy and Creditor’s Rights, Finance and Workouts and Litigation Practice Groups.  He specializes in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, workouts and loan restructuring and creditor’s rights.

Mr. Miller represents financial institutions, leasing companies and landlords in commercial Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and federal and state court litigation involving real and personal property secured transactions.  He has extensive experience in judicial and nonjudicial foreclosures, the appointment of receivers, pre- and post-judgment remedies, judgment enforcements and construction disputes.  Mr. Miller has represented clients in the bankruptcy courts in New York, Delaware, California, Arizona, Nevada and Illinois; in the federal courts in the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Central Districts of California; and in the appellate courts before the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Ninth Circuit.

Mr. Miller is AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell. In 2022, he was selected to Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent Attorney-Judicial Edition. In addition, he has been honored by Thompson Reuters as a Northern California Super Lawyer for thirteen consecutive years from 2010 to 2022. In 2006, he was named by San Francisco Magazine as a "Top Lawyer" in the San Francisco Bay Area.  In 2014-2015, and 2018-2019 Mr. Miller was Co-Chair of the California Bankruptcy Forum annual state wide conference.  He is formerly the President of the Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum and was formerly President of the California Receivers Forum–Bay Area Chapter.  He served on the Board of Directors of both organizations.  Mr. Miller also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John A. Arguelles of the California Supreme Court.

Mr. Miller is a mediator for the Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Panel for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of California, a position he has held for more than fifteen years. He also serves as a judge pro tempore in pre-trial and settlement conferences for the Marin County Superior Court.

Mr. MIller was selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 Editions of The Best Lawyers in America^© for his work in Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights. In 2022, Mr. Miller was named to the Americas Most Honored Lawyers- Top 1% 2022 by The American Registry.
