Lubin Olson hosts the Real Estate Roundtable Luncheon with speaker Dan Adams, Acting Director, San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development on September 19, 2019.

We are pleased to welcome Dan Adams, Acting Director of the San Francisco Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOCHD), to our Real Estate Roundtable.  Mr. Adams will speak about the Community Opportunity to Purchase Act (COPA), a new City policy designed to prevent displacement and preserve affordable housing in San Francisco and other important MOCHD programs and initiatives.

The Community Opportunity to Purchase Act, or COPA, gives qualified non-profit organizations the right of first offer and/or the refusal to purchase eligible properties on the market.  COPA will go into effect on September 3rd when the MOCHD issues initial program regulations.

Dan Adams has over 20 years of affordable housing and community development experience and is a licensed architect.  He has been with MOCHD for eight years, most recently as the Deputy Director of Housing overseeing the agency's new construction pipeline, acquisition and preservation initiatives, and affordable housing policy-making and legislative affairs. In addition, he has served as a Director of Housing Development at both BRIDGE Housing and MidPen Housing.
